That's silly. I'm just another picky deadhead.

You may think it's cool that I worked with the members of the GD, but I'm more excited about working with Steve Kimock.

no it's not silly it's true. But hey, it's good to be modest rather than arrogant. But there are a million of us that are Grateful ( no pun intended ) for all the shows you've shared.

I share you're excitement about Steve. First heard about him when Cippolina was still in Zero in the mid 80's and have been a fan ever since. It's a damn shame ( imo ) that he's not playing with the band. I know he's got his own thing in his own right but he's the only one that can take me there other than GD.

I first saw Steve with Kingfish in the early 80's, Matthew Kelly, no Weir by that time. Have seen him with The Other Ones, SKB, Ratdog, Mickey Hart and Chris Berry Trio. Would actually love to hear about you working with him if you ever would share. Thanks for all your work and energy.

what would you like to know? I've been on the road with him for about a decade. I'm his recording engineer and do driving too. Was his road manager for a while.

I guess one that does get discussed a bit is what happened with him and Phil? Lots of rumors out there. I understand if you can't share. But there is a group of us that think that it should be Steve up on that stage with Dead, Furthur, etc. If you can't share, that is fine, don't want to air dirty laundry.

2nd would be why didn't SKB work out longer, I think that was the his best band. Probably lots of $, I know you all toured a lot and came to places like here, Spokane that didn't have much of a turnout. My wife kept telling me to watch that amazing drummer (Rodney). Also enjoyed having another guitar with him.

If you ever get up in this area again I would be happy to help spread the word and get a turnout.

I've just started listening to Steve K in the last year, based primarily on some recommendations in this Forum. Would love to see a list of your "favorite" downloads in the Kimmock collection to broaden by base.

Thanks for all you do for the sharing music community. It is a pretty rare and amazing group around here. Although I generally lurk, I never fail to be amazed at the goodness that ultimately triumphs in this Forum.
